The app is good for thought organization and rhyme dictionary functions, but GUI needs work. For example, when you scroll through your blocks (chorus, verse, bridge) it tends to stick and wont let you scroll to another block. Theres a better way to organize this app, I know there is. I still use this app for the word wheel thingy and the rhyme dictionary but I just use notes to write. They almost got it though.

It was a waste of my $2.99 ! It didnt do 95% of the things it says it does! I WOULD NOT suggest this app!

Inspiration is fleeting, and when I want to write something down, it is almost an immediacy. This app is almost perfect for what Is except for the user interface, which act as more of an impediment than a utility. I really wish the developer would just fix the glitches so the app behaved as I know it was designed. Also, I sync using its built in cloud btwn iPhone and iPad. One day - all 70 songs were magically gone from the iPad. This scared the crap out of me. I had to spend 30 minutes individually syncing to Dropbox for added security - I couldnt even do that all songs at once. My art is nothing to risk with a glitchy app potentially jeopardizing its existence.

This app is actually very useable and helpful. I have to say I really like it. I use it for structuring all my songs and they make it quite easy by being able to add blocks and suggesting ideas/rhymes etc. If youre looking for a quick sketch of ideas and songs then fine, use Notes, but after youre done and you want to finalise the song this app is awesome for that. I personally just go straight to it in the app because I like to structure as I go along. Its easy to say this app is frustrating for some because everyone has a different rhythm in the creative process. The app has a recording function so you can attach a voice recording within your song/idea. Yes, of course it has some bugs, the flow of the graphics needs attention and its crashed on me a couple times on the iPhone only (never on my iPad or Mac however). I love this app and I songwrite for a living so thats saying a lot. Think its great and would recommend esp on Mac or iPad if you want a good songwriting structure App!

Although I am angry with the sync feature this app is amazing and worth the money. I am very angry with songwriters pad sync. I made an account and then it asked me what songs I wanted to put on SPS. I didnt really think I needed to put my songs there so I pressed next. When I proceeded to the next place, I was in the menu and all of my songs were deleted. If this is a bug please fix it and if this is on purpose please give further instruction on the backup screen.

I like the idea. The rhyme dictionary is pretty good. The interface could be improved: scrolling and rearranging sections is difficult and sticky. Needs an auto-scroll feature that would scroll the lyrics. Id like to set the length of the song, e.g. 3:20, and the app should scroll the lyrics so that the end is reached around that time. That would be especially useful when recording music to lyrics through the app, and in preview mode. The app crashes a lot.

Crashes regularly, taking any changes youve made with it. Has two sync options, neither one works. Inspiration is fleeting and you need something reliable to capture it. This is not the tool for that job. Avoid.

It works well for me. I just wish songs would auto sync instead of manually pushing.

Everytime i go to write a song if i dont press done it doesnt save. (Should change that) it freezes and exit out the app completely once again not saving any progress that may have been done. Ive put in money to help the App so i expect to get what i paid for. Besides the bugs the app is Amazing! I just hope theres an update to fix the bugs. Thanks

Ive been writing songs professionally for a very very long time & Ive been lucky enough to have had quite a few of my songs recorded & released by a handful of major artists. I only say this to hopefully bring a little credibility to "Dante Moores" very hardworking app, "Songwriters Pad! This app is extremely easy to learn and even easier to maneuver around. It is great for storing your songs & keeping track of your co-writers & dates of creation. Ive been using Songwriters Pad since its conception & all along the way thru all its growing pains the creators have listened to every suggestion Ive offered & theyve worked hard to bring it up to the level a professional songwriter needs to carve out a great song. I highly recommend this app to any beginning, intermediate or professional songwriter regardless of what level they are at! I would say with all honesty that there is no other songwriter app out there that can even compare to "Dante Moores" Songwriters Pad for IPad, IPhone or desktop.

I have had this app since it came out and there have always been issues. I have attempted to contact them multiple times and have never, not once received a response. The app has great potential, I have it on my MacBook, iPad and iPhone in hopes that one day it would all work the way it should. Update after update leads to more frustration. One thing gets fixed and two more are broken. I too have lost lyrics, Ive never synced my Mac because it wont allow me to and now my iPhone keeps telling me I need an internet connection. I suppose they got my money and thats all they cared about. With unreliable function and no customer service I guess Im moving on and you should probably pass on this one as well.

This app started off great for me. But recently it feels like Im going to have to find something else. I lost all of my recordings and it is very frustrating. There were times too, where I tried to contact someone about password and username problems. Ive lost a lot of songs and recordings with this app.

Please update quality for iPhone 6+!!

Used to work fine Ill be adding words and phrases to my idea board and then after 20 minutes of searching boom crashes I go back and same thing happens so there goes half your app... Let me break the rest ... Ill be writing in the lyric blocks were I write the lyrics .. After around 10-30 minutes it will crash no warning no cause from myself. There goes that.. And then this app used to work almost spot on then I dont know when but It just broke .. So many bugs.. Delete off App Store dont waste anyones time.

All the ideas and nuanced functions are great and this would be a perfect app if it worked the way the designers intended. I was writing in the "custom" block I titled "bars"; then tried to switch to/add a chorus block and my keyboard disappeared and was inoperable. When you create lyrics in the "freestyle mode," you cant then incorporate your freestyles into the structured "song block mode" ...umm why not?! Fix the bugs and allow freestyles to be made into songs and this app quite possibly could be perfect.

Ever since downloading this app, Ive managed to capture so many song ideas. Because my phone is always with me, each song draft can written, edited and then uploaded to Dropbox right away. I dont have to worry about losing the idea before I get back home to my guitar and my computer.

Needs improvements. Dante, the support guy is jerk and needs a new line of work. Also seems very disinterested in helping anyone fix anything, and expects you to be an expert on this app the moment you open it. Ive lost a ton of songs and ideas from this app.
